Let's Get Started!

I hope you all are able to post on here okay? If not shoot me a text or email so we can work out the bugs.

Who's excited to start this study?!? I AM! I thought we would start up on Sunday by doing intros and getting to know each other a bit. I know each of you, but you may not all know each other. So post a little blub about yourself, how long you've been married, your goal for this study, etc.  Then Monday we can start up with Day 1 in our books. How does this sound? Ready..... Set... GOOOO!!! :-)

  2. Looks like we worked out the bugs of using this blog. I'll start the intros (even though you all know me)

I'm Trina. From Lebanon, TN. Went to APSU for undergrad (ADPi alumni). Moved to St. Louis, got a second bachelors degree along with my doctorate in Chiropractic.Graduated and moved to Northern AL to start practicing. HATED IT!!! Quit the job after 90 days and moved back to TN. Currently working part time in a friend's chiropractic practice while pursuing my masters in nutrition and human performance through Logan College of Chiropractic (same school I attended before). I have two dogs, Lewis and Lily.

I met Justin, my husband, at APSU. We were just acquaintances at the time. We graduated in 2008. I moved to St. Louis and he moved to Tuscaloosa to pursue his PhD in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide). He just graduated in December. We reconnected via Facebook while we were both in grad school, had our first date in 2009 and spent 4 years having a long distance relationship between St. Louis and Tuscaloosa. We survived the odds, stresses of school demands and everything in between. Our story is still so surreal. We got married September 21, 2013. Right now we are living in Lebanon while we job hunt.

My goals for this study are to complete the study (start to finish), gain a deeper understanding for what God's purpose in marriage is, learn how to be married and learn how to be a Godly wife. The last four months have been very difficult to say the least. But I know the best is yet to come!
    That's my story.

  3. I am Michelle. I live in Clarksville, TN. I moved to Clarksville, in 2004 to attend APSU where I got my Bachelor's in Accounting. I also received my Master's in Management from APSU in 2011 and went on to get my CPA licensure at the end of that year. I work at Stone, Rudolph & Henry, PLC where I am a tax supervisor. Tax season just started so the next few months will be very busy to say the least.

I met my husband (Ryan) in high school. Yes, believe it or not, we are high school sweethearts. We have been married for five years, but we have been dating for over 10 years. During college, Ryan attended Jackson State Community College where he received his Physical Therapy Assistant Degree. He moved to Clarksville in 2006 and started a career at Gateway Hospital. He worked inpatient rehab for 4 years and has been working home health since 2010. We do not have any children as of yet. Only a dog named Tank.

My overall goal for this study is to build better relationships with God, my husband, and other wives who have the same goals as I do. I can't wait to see what the study will do in our lives!

  5. in St. Louis.

So, over the last two years since graduating, we have moved home to Wisconsin from St. Louis, bought a house, had a baby, and both of us started new jobs. In other words, our lives have been going at warp speed and life hasn't always been easy. I hope to get to know you all better and I am so glad to be going through this journey with all of you. I hope to better my personal relationship with God and with my husband.

  6. Hi ladies! My name is Shauna. I am 29. I live in Clarksville, TN. I will graduate from Austin Peay on May 9th with a bachelor's degree in elementary education (after being an undergrad student on and off for the last 10 years). I am currently student teaching in a third grade classroom and LOVE every minute of it! I am also an ADPi alumni, which is how I met Trina.

I met my husband, Chris, at Austin Peay in 2005. He graduated from Austin Peay in December 2005 with a bachelor's degree in business management. We married in June 2006. As we approach our eight year anniversary, I can't help to reflect on how we got to where we are today. We have been through the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. We have three beautiful children (Terner-3 years old, Tenley-17 months old, and Teagan-7 weeks old). My husband just left a ten year career with Walgreens to become a proprietor for Outback Steakhouse. He is currently in the training stages at Outback and works very long hours. Very recently, we decided to start a new adventure as independent distributors with Advocare. We are very busy, but also very excited about all of the amazing opportunities that God has placed in our lives.

My goals for this study are to deepen my relationship with God, learn how to be the wife that God calls me to be, and connect with other wives who have similar goals. I look forward to getting to know each of you through this experience!
